Berrow 0, Fry Club 1

BERROW slumped to their sixth defeat of the season against fourth-placed Fry Club on Saturday, as they went down at Red Road.

Jack Welling grabbed the winner for Fry Club in a hard-fought and closely contested match.

The result sees Berrow remain in eight place in the Somerset County Premier with 30 points from 18 games.

They travel to struggling Langford Rovers on Saturday (ko 2pm) knowing three points could see them climb one place to seventh, before taking on third-placed Nailsea United the week after (January 25).

Berrow Res travel to Portishead Town A on Saturday in Division 1 of the Weston & District Saturday League (ko 2.30pm).

Leaders Berrow A’s Division 6 fixture is at home to Banwell A (ko 2.30pm).

l BURNHAM United’s game at Clevedon United was postponed on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch.

They host eleventh-placed St George Easton in Gordano on Saturday (ko 2pm) as they look to fight their way into the top half of the table.

Burnham United Reserves’ match at home to Nailsea United in Division 2W also fell foul of the weather. This weekend they travel to Cheddar Res (ko 2pm).

Burnham United A travel to Nailsea Utd B for a Weston League Division 2 fixture, while the B team are at AFC Nailsea Res in Division 6.

Wedmore have a tough task on their hands on Saturday when they entertain Division 3 title favourites Uphill Castle.

High-flying Division 6 Wedmore Reserves will be seeking a bit of giant killing on Saturday when they travel to face Division 2 Clevedon United A in the Davis Memorial Shield.
