Highbridge Town 6, North Petherton 0

HIGHBRIDGE Town remain top of Division One on goal difference after thrashing bottom side North Petherton 6-0 on Saturday.

Two goals apiece from Wayne Hand and Chris Taylor fired Highbridge into a 4-0 lead, before Mike Green and an own goal completed the scoring.

Town are level on 21 points with Bridgwater Sports, but have a superior goal difference - as well as two games in hand.

They host Alcombe Rovers next Saturday (January 11), before travelling to reigning champions Locomotives the weekend after (January 11).

## HIGHBRIDGE Town Reserves travel to Alcombe Rovers Reserves next Saturday (January 11) after last weekend's fixture with Milverton Rangers fell victim to the weather.

BURNHAM United A were hammered 7-1 by Clevedon United in Round One of the Charity Cup - and Burnham United B drew 6-6 at Clevedon United, in Division Six of the Weston & District League.

Burnham United's first team game at Dundry Athletic was postponed, and they travel to Clevedon United this Saturday (January 11), while the Reserves host Nailsea United Reserves.

BERROW take on fourth-placed Fry Club next Saturday (January 11) after last weekend's derby clash with Bridgwater Town Reserves was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Fairfax Park.

A win could see Berrow climb to fifth in the Somerset County Premier.
