GLOBETROTTERS have again joined Elmore Club at the top of Division A of the Sampford Peverell and district league with Bradninch C Club a point behind them.
Uplowman and Barley Mow maintain top spot in the other divisions.
N Horrell of All Blacks threw a 24 spare in his player-of the-week score of 80.

High Scores: 75 – Terry White (Barley Knockons, four spares); 72 – A Palfrey (The Beare, four spares); Reports: The Ponies had a good first leg in their game against Brass Monkeys, but a disastrous second leg was the match loser as they were not able to make up enough ground to claim the points.
Globetrotters had a close game with Globe Appley B, with neither team dominating. But an excellent last leg saw them come from behind and claim the points, again joining Elmore Club in top spot.
Castaways came up against Barley Knockons in excellent form with man-of-the-match Terry White posting a brilliant four spare 75. Castaways could only win the second leg and then watch as BKs swept them into touch.
Globe Appley’s losing run continued as they were beaten by Settler Boys. The Boys were 30 pins up after three legs, and took another 13 in the fifth leg, only dropping five pins on their way to their fifth win in a row.
Queens Head’s up and down season continued as they lost at home to Bradninch C Club who have now won their last six games. The home team won the first leg but could only sit back and watch as the Cricketers took 40 pins over the next two. Game over.
A man-of-the-match performance from The Beare’s Andrew Palfrey, who posted a four spare 75, helped his team to a nice win over Calverleigh.
Lumberjacks entertained league champions Elmore Club and came out on top. Elmore started off the better and actually won five out of the six legs. But a powerful three spare 75 fourth leg gave the home boys a narrow victory.
RESULTS: Division B – Bradninch RBL 398, The Hounds 417; Roy’s Rebels 333, Oggies 324; Lion Cubs 491, All Blacks 517; Bullocks 374, The Merriemeade 379; Manor House Hotel 355, Bickleigh 362; Huntsham A 383, Crossways 387; Uplowman 415, Ayshford Arms 375.

REPORTS: Bradninch RBL stuttered at the start, giving The Hounds a 32 pin lead after two legs. They fought back to regain the advantage but the Hounds raised their game and cruised to a 19 pin victory.
Roys Rebels and the Oggies had a very close game with the home team taking it by nine.
Lion Cubs started off strongly and posted some good scores but were no match for the All Blacks who banged in three 90+ rubs in a row and took the points.
Bullocks won four of the legs against The Merriemeade, but in this case quality rather than quantity paid off as the away side took the points with their two rubs. Last player and captain Dean Capel needed a nine to win and duly obliging with a 13 spare.
Manor House Hotel lost the first three rubs, leaving a hill to climb. And even though they won the last three rubs they ran out of time leaving Bickleigh to collect the points.
Huntsham A must have thought the points were in the bag against Crossways who were behind until posting a final rub 80 to nick the points by four pins.
Uplowman maintained top spot with an easy 40 pin win over Ayshford Arms who only woke up on the last leg.
The Agri-Nuts couldn’t contain Redwoods who took the points by 21 pins.

High Scores: 69 – N Farley (The Farmers, three spares).
Reports: HCC achieved the best winning run in the division so far this season at Tiverton RBL with their seventh win in row. The game was tied with two to play, but HCC had two good last legs to pull 25 and take the spoils.
Halfway House stay second after their seven pin win at Farmers. Farmers were a couple up after two legs, but a 14 pin reverse in the third did the damage and set Halfway up for the win.
White Horse stay in touch with the leaders after their 13 pin home win against Heathcoat Hulas. There was only one pin difference going into the last two legs where White Horse pulled 12.
The Travellers came up against top team Barley Mow at home and despite being in front after two legs, eventually lost by 23. The visitors pulled 17 on the fourth and another ten on the last leg to seal the win.
Tiverton Chiefs go level on points with Booze Cruzers after a home win by 32. Chiefs took all but one leg on their way to a comfortable win.
