Bridgwater & Albion II 5, Hornets II 20
BRIDGWATER & Albion slumped to defeat at the hands of Hornets on Saturday.
Hornets took the lead on 20 minutes when the full back gathered a loose kick to run the length of the field and added a second shortly after to take a 12-0 half-time lead.
The visitors extended their lead with a penalty but Albion hit back with a try through James Kerry.
Hornets rounded off proceedings with a try from a cross-field kick.
Albion will feel that some very weak tackling at times contributed to their downfall against a team of a much higher standard than those they have played recently.
Team – Brakes, Barnett, House, Basson, Kerry, Smith, Hill, Marsh, Norman, Woolford, Stradling (Capt), Burtenshaw, Sluman, Webb, Steward. Reps: (used) Lipscomb, Sturdy; (unused) Badger.
l Albion face Yatton II on Saturday.
