Cutters Friday 0 Berrow 3
BERROW claimed their first three points of the season with a comfortable win at Cutters on Saturday.
Goals from Jack Taylor, Jack Radford and an own goal sealed victory for Berrow in a game they dominated from start to finish.
After the disappointing loss to Nailsea Town, Mike Charlton came in to make his first start since recovering from a broken leg he sustained nearly two seasons ago, and Jason Kilduff made his first start since signing.
Luke and Ross McErlain also returned after being unavailable for the midweek game.
After an even first 15 minutes, Berrow began to come to terms with the long grass and windy conditions and started causing the home defence problems.
Some good link-up play between Luke Morgan and Jack Taylor put Kilduff through on goal but his shot went narrowly wide.
They took the lead minutes later as Ross McErlain’s cross was turned into the Cutters’ net by a defender, under pressure from Taylor.
It was Taylor who made it two just before the break, as he latched on to a Kilduff pass to slot into the bottom corner.
The second half was again dominated by Berrow with Taylor and Kilduff both denied by close offside decisions. Dax Vincent and Dave Keirle replaced Kilduff and Morgan as Berrow searched to seal the game, and the visitors were finally rewarded with goal number three on 80 minutes.
Keirle’s run and cross down the left was met by Radford, who fired home from close range.
Berrow held firm for the final 10 minutess to gain their first three points and clean sheet of the season.
Man of the match: Jack Taylor.
