AFTER being relegated from Division Five last year, the first team will be fighting for promotion. A powerful team line-up with Matt Crook taking a higher role as captain for the 2013 season, Derek Kidner being his right-hand man.

A personal ambition for Martin Cooke is looking to chase his maiden century with the bat, so he can buy some fresh whites to replace his current ones which have been passed down the Cooke family over the decades.

The second team finished mid-table at the end of the 2012 season and they are aiming to be more challenging this year, with hopes of battling for promotion into Division 8S.

Leading the side will be Nigel Gass followed by strong additions to the team including John Picton and Pete Spelman. All will be hungry to take the team to the top.

East Huntspill will also be featuring within the entertaining Twenty20 competition, joint captaincy from Kieron Stamp and Rob Pomeroy.

Some of the players to watch out for this season include Matt Crook who is hungry for runs, off-spinner Andrew Chedzey who is looking to turn a few side's over this year, and prolific batsman Darren West.

The club welcome John Picton and Pete Spelman (from Mark) and veterans Kevin Watts and Jason Hicks who return to playing.

KIERON STAMP, T20 captain.
