Callum Haggett impresses on Kent county cricket debut

CRICKETER Callum Haggett impressed on debut for Kent during his first County Championship match of the season.

The 22-year-old scored 40 batting at number nine as Kent posted a daunting 406 all out in the first day against Leicestershire.

The Millfield School pupil played club cricket for Ashcott and Shapwick last season, helping them gain promotion to the West of England Premier League 1.

He also represented Somerset through the junior ranks and second eleven.
