TENNIS: Trull secure promotion in winter mixed league

TRULL A have secured promotion to Division 1 of the North Somerset Mixed Winter League with one match still to play.

Trull got the winter season got off to a flyer, winning the first four matches and earning 37 points out of a possible 40 points.

Their good form continued and in their most recent matches beat Minehead A 10-0 and Cheddar 7-4 victory.

A total of 11 different players have played in the matches during the course of the season, demonstrating the club's strength in depth.

Trull B will finish the season mid table in Division 4 and Trull C mid table in Division 7 of the same league.

Trull now look forward to the summer tennis season which begins next month.

They have four mixed teams in the West Somerset League and two men's and one ladies doubles team in the Yeovil and District League.

The club also has a men's singles/doubles team in the Aegon mini league which is an inter-area competition across the country.
