FOUR Bridgwater College students have been selected to represent England Colleges sports teams.
Footballer Matthew Hurley, 18, from Burnham, will join the men’s football team and Beth Howard, 17, from Glastonbury, will play in the women’s football team.
Sammy Kemmish, 17, from Cannington, will play in the netball squad and Taylor Kingscott, 18 from Weston, will be playing hockey.
Howard said: “It’s a fantastic feeling getting back into the squad again. Having played against Australia and Estonia last year I can’t wait to see who we are playing this season.”
Kemmish added: “I’m really excited to be involved again this year. Every year the competition for places gets harder so it’s a real achievement.”
Ben Norman, Interim Director of Sports Academies said: “All four of the students have worked exceptionally hard to achieve this and we are delighted that they are able to test themselves at this level.”
