BRIDGWATER got into their flow quickly, pressuring the Eagles goal and winning several short corners.
The first half ended goal-less, but within five minutes of the restart Eagles had scored their first.
A high save from Sue Durkin in goal for Bridgwater was followed up and knocked in.
A second goal followed a goalmouth scramble and White Eagles made it three late in the game. Bridgwater created a number of chances but were unable to close the deficit.
Player of the match was Donna Cooper.
Sedgemoor Division 1

YET another new combination of players saw Bridgwater dominate the attack scoring from two penalty corners before half time.
Captain Julie Morrish called for more anticipation and more direct play in the second half.
Forwards Nikki Gill and Kath Briggs responded well, linking with quick passing from Jenny Hayden-Briffett and player of the match Emma Duddridge.
Goals came from Kath Briggs, Beccy Oram, Nikki Gill and Emma Duddridge.
Davis Wood Hockey League

Bridgwater Mens 3rd 4, Chard 2nds 5
STEVE Turvey opened the scoring for Bridgwater following good work from Lee Chorley.
Cameron Birch doubled the lead after Jordan Rawles weaved his way through the defence to set up the goal to make it 2-0 at half-time.
But an inspired Chard side came out of the blocks in the second half to make it 4-2 before Ben Sims closed the gap.
A counter attack from Chard made it 5-3 and despite Dan Buller dispatching a penalty stroke, Bridgwater were unable to snatch a share of the points.
South East 3
Yeovil and Somerset 1, Bridgwater Mens 4ths 6
BRIDGWATER started brightly and took the lead when Dan Pigden's long range effort found its way into the goal.
Dave Dosson got on the score sheet twice before half-time to give Bridgwater a comfortable lead at half-time.
Kev Hicks played in Dan Batten for Bridgwater's fourth goal, before Dosson completed his hat-trick with a cool finish from Mike Davidge's cross.
Billy Vickery’s first senior goal came from a Pigden cross to complete the scoring for Bridgwater. Man of the Match was Dan Batten.
South East 3
Bridgwater Mens 5th 0, Minehead 3rds 7
THE game started as it was destined to go on as Minehead pushed to score an early goal.
But some poor finishing coupled with a solid defence of John Schweiso, Steve Peters, Jack Syvret and James Kettlewell somehow held out for ten minutes as Bridgwater couldn’t get the ball out of their half.
When they did press forward George Pupplett, Joe Syvret, Sam Beasley, Will Baldwin and Liam Durkin looked like they could cause some damage, but a lack of composure cost them.
Man of the match was Will Baldwin with Joe Syvret in a close second.
