SRL All Saints were unable to halt league leaders Staplegrove in their quest to the title as they suffered a 3-0 defeat.

The first half between North Petherton and Alcombe Rovers was a dull affair but inspired words from Pethy manager Jimmy Walker saw a better reaction from his team in the second half and they won the encounter 1-0 thanks to a goal from substitute Oli Pascoe.

Highbridge Town are on a role winning back to back games, the latest a 2-1 away win at Bridgwater Sports, Will Bailey and Mark Chapman got their goals, Steve Davis netted for Sports.

In Division Two, Middlezoy Rovers Reserves need two more wins to clinch the title after their 3-1 home win over Appletree.

Dan Russell opened the scoring on 15 minutes, Chris Singleton doubled their lead before the break and Aaron James tapped in to make it 3-0 and game won but they gave away a late penalty which Craig Burnett converted.

There was a great come back at Nether Stowey, who went 3-0 down to Wembdon Saints with goals from Paul Goss, James O'Brien and Jake Collard.

They woke up and got themselves back to 3v-2 by half time and in the second half went mad eventually winning the game 8-3. Chris Young scored four, George Pike, Jake Griffiths, Lee Harvey and Chris Lynham all added one each.

In Division Three, Wembdon are the first side this season to beat Stogursey and they did it on their opponents own ground only five minutes into the game when Ian Luke headed the only goal of the game.

There was an exciting local derby where Bridgwater Sports Reserves were hosts to Redgate. Sports took a two goal lead in the game but Sergio da Silva got one back and a Phil Court header got the sides level before Sergio put his side ahead at 3-2.

Sports came back to even things up again but a Paul Chappell's long ball from the re-start found Sam Granville who slotted home to give his side the 4-3 victory. Simon Caddy got two of Sports goals and Shane Smith scored the other.

Highbridge Town Reserves are still looking for their first win of the season losing this week 2-4 to Sydenham Rangers, for whom Jason Stephenson got a brace, Dan Treasure and Jim Jodkowski got the other two for Rangers, Jake Barritt and Paul Cook replied for Town.

Division Four saw The Gallery stay in touch with three games in hand after beating Rhode Lane Wanderers 5-3 but they did it the hard way allowing their opponents to lead the game on three occasions. Craig Thomas got himself a hat trick, Craig Thomas added two and sub Jake Croker got the fifth, on target for Rhode Lane were Lee Mallett, Josh Baker and Ben Patrick.

Andrew James got both goals for Morganians in his side's 2-1 victory over Galmington Dragons for whom Dave Brawn scored.

Dulverton lost 2-0 to North Petherton thanks to a Gary Barnes penalty and a Scott Norris strike.

And in Division Five, Middlezoy Athletic had a 3v-1 away win at Galmington Dragons with goals from Graham Gaddy, Martin Innalls and seventeen year old Ben Searle, Mike Stevenson replied for Dragons.

Bridgwater Grasshoppers were 3-0 up against East Bower at half time Bower came out all guns blazing in the second period scoring five goals to win the game eventually 5-4. Jack Edwards hit two of the five, Ollie Ham, Shane Frost and Josh Jones got the other three, Shane Thompson got a hat trick for Grasshoppers and Rob Adams added their fourth.

Wembdon Saints Reserves took the points at home with a 2-1 win over Nether Stowey Reserves, Brad Walford and Jake Shipman scoring the goals, David Trout replied for Stowey.
