THREE Evo-Stik League games in five days - beginning with the visit of Wimborne Town to Wordsworth Drive tomorrow (3pm) - are set to test Taunton Town's rescources.

The Peacocks then travel to Bishops Cleeve on Monday evening, kick-off 7.30pm and return home next Wednesday to host Shortwood United, kick-off 7.45pm.

The unusual demand of playing three games so close together is due to matches being rescheduled following the large number of postponements over recent months. Taunton will hope to have several players back in the squad for this weekend’s game, with Ben Mammola, Carl Cliff Brown and Clay Bond all set to return after missing the midweek defeat at Poole.

Town will also be out to avenge their heavy loss at Wimborne before Christmas.

The Peacocks have yet to play bottom club Bishops Cleeve this season while they suffered a narrow 2-1 reverse at Shortwood last September.

TAUNTON will be staging a special evening in their new clubhouse later this month.

A Liverpool Legends night, sponsored by Carlsberg (UK) Ltd, is taking place on Tuesday, March 19 at 7.30pm with former Anfield favourites David Johnson and John Aldridge.

Tickets, which are selling well, are £10 per person which includes a buffet. For more information email admin@tauntontown.com or ring the club office on 01823-254909.

Good luck Town, quicker we get to 40 points or so and ensure survival the better.
