Taunton School student Harriet Rogers is currently in the United States meeting with cross country coaches as she decides where to pursue her academic studies.

Rogers, who is studying for her A Levels, is a nationally-ranked runner and Great Britain biathlete and has been made scholarship offers to run as part of the cross country programmes at some of America’s top universities.

During her time in the country Rogers is meeting with coaches from Bryant University in Rhode Island, the University of Hartford in Connecticut, Wagner College in New York City and the City College of New York.

Harriet has been part of Taunton School’s United States University programme which has supported and guided her to this point.

Key to this has been the opportunity to meet with American universities visiting the school, and in April more 30 universities including Harvard, New York University and Florida State University, will be at Taunton for the annual US University Fair.

Entry to the event is free. Students and parents can register by visiting tauntonschoolusfair2013.eventbrite.com
