A FORMER pupil at Blundell’s School has been called up to the full England training squad ahead of the Six Nations championship.
Matt Kvesic reported to the camp in Leeds on Sunday evening as cover for flanker Tom Johnson of Exeter Chiefs.
Johnson suffered a knee injury playing for Exeter against Leinster in the Heineken Cup on Saturday.
Kvesic, who is uncapped, plays for Worcester Warriors where he has been enjoying a good run of games.
Johnson is the second flanker to be ruled out of the entire Six Nations following Calum Clark. Others in the injury list include prop Alex Corbisiero and fly-half Freddie Burns who will both miss the first two matches.
