BRIDGWATER Town will be looking to add to their squad in the January transfer window – that is the message from joint boss Kevin Milsom.

Milsom was left smarting after the side’s 3-1 defeat to Paulton Rovers on Saturday but said the management team of himself, Dave Pople and Paul West will be looking to bounce back and bolster the squad for what promises to be a busy month.

He said: “I was a little bit disappointed because they [Paulton Rovers] have done to us what we have been doing to other teams – they worked hard and got the breaks when they needed them.

“If Tim Legg’s shot had gone in it could have been totally different and I think a point would have been a fair result.

“It was disappointing not to get the win in front of a bigger crowd, too.”

Former Radstock front man Omari Sims made his debut on Saturday and he is just one of what could be a number of new faces to come to Fairfax Park this month.

Milsom said: “Games will be coming thick and fast over the next 28 days so we will be making an approach for a few players to bolster the squad.

“We will be looking to make them a permanent addition to the squad but if the right loan signing came around then we would also look at that too.”

The Robins have an opportunity to bounce back tonight (Tuesday) when fourth placed Methyr Town are the visitors.

Captain Chris McGrath is a doubt for the clash as he is suffering with a hamstring problem.

Milsom said: “It is a big game and we want to get back playing again to get over the defeat. They are a big club and we are aware it will be a tough match.”

Kick-off is 7.45pm.
