TAUNTON Racecourse is busy preparing to host their biggest ever fixture on Saturday January 19th when the seven race card which gets underway at 1.05pm.
This meeting will be the richest ever staged at the Orchard Portman course with a massive £115,000 on offer in prizes, as well as being the first to take place on a Saturday, and will include three Class 2 and two Class 3 races.
The feature race on the Saturday Meeting card which is sponsored by Betfair, is the Read Paul Nicholls Exclusively on Betfair Open Handicap Steeple Chase (Class2) run over two miles three furlongs at 4pm which has a whopping prize fund of £30,000.
Racegoers are reminded that a courtesy coach departs from Taunton Railway Station an hour before the first race, picking up at the Bus Station in town shortly afterwards and returning from the course 30 minutes after the last event.
