A COMBINATION of flooded fields and a free weekend gives the Taunton Titans time to regroup, put some time into the gym and prepare for the visit of promotion hopefuls Worthing Raiders to Hyde Park on December 8.

The Sussex-based Raiders have hit a rich seam of form in recent weeks taking a bonus point away to Shelford, the scalps of league leaders Henley and second placed Hartpury together with a 58pts-3 crushing win over Clifton last time out.

Taunton have shown in patches the quality and form to compete with the best in the league but with 22 points from ten games they are just about safe above the relegation zone.

With 18 games still to play and both Lydney and Southend in sticking distance of the Hyde Park team the Titans need to be picking up home wins.

Saturday, December 8, is another big day for Tony Yapp and his Titans who will want to be getting something from the Worthing encounter leading into their Chinnor and Hartpury fixtures running into Christmas.
