BERROW Reserves continued their winning run in Division 1 of the Weston and District Saturday Football League to see off Selkirk United with a 3-1 victory.
The team trailed 1-0 at half-time, despite excellent chances for Shaun Lismore and Steve Eley.
But, an inspired second half saw Eley brought down in the box, who then stepped up to equalise from the penalty spot.
Berrow then took the lead as a looping ball came into the area and Eley produced a stunning overhead kick.
The final goal came from Charles Conway who picked up a through ball and slotted past the onrushing keeper.
The team face Selkirk United again this weekend, but are at home for a 2.30pm start.
In Division 2, Burnham United A fell to a 3-2 defeat to Clevedon Dons with both goals scored by Harry Wedgewood-Potts.
Burnham went 1-0 up after good work by Wilkins and Burns but Clevedon equalised soon after. The second goal saw Dave Worthington fouled in the box and Potts made no mistake from the spot kick.
Manager Graham Smith said: “We played some really good football and must have had 70% of the possession in the game but until we become more decisive in front of goal we will not win games.”
The team are at home to Nailsea United B this weekend.
In Division 5, Burnham United B drew 2-2 with Axbridge Town Reserves thanks to goals from Terry Carpenter and Barry Radford. They take on Pill United on Saturday.
In Division 6, Wedmore Reserves lost 3-1 to South Park Rangers Reserves.
