IN the Somerset Intermediate Cup Third Round, Middlezoy Rovers Reserves knocked out our own Wembdon Saints beating them 3-1 goals from Sam Lewis, Max Cushing and Jamie Temlett, Rob White got the Saints goal.

It was goal less after two hours of football between Bridgwater Sports Reserves and Martock so the result had to be decided by a penalty shoot out. Step up hero keeper Adam Rawle who saved two shots and had the privilege of taking the last pen which would take his side into the next round and he didn't disappoint.

Sydenham Rangers weren't good enough on the day to take on Stoke Rovers who put five past them without reply and The Gallery were outclassed by Interhound who beat them 9-0.

In league action, Division One side Predators played table toppers Locomotives but lost 3-2 denting their title hopes, with Carl Jones got both goals for the home side.

Highbridge, who lost their long serving striker Wayne Hand who transferred to Predators in the week, managed to pick up their first point of the season with a 2-2 home draw against Sampford Blues, Junior Mockridge and Chris Lemarchand scored for Town.

North Petherton beat Dulverton Town 2-0 thanks to Josh Gracie and Lewis Irish netting and Nathan Huxtable scored twice in the contest between SRL Allsaints and Bishops Lydeard but unfortunately one was at the wrong end and with nobody else able to hit the back of the net the game ended up at 1-1.

In Division Two, Westonzoyland lost 6-1 to Bishops Lydeard Colts with Callum Butt grabbing the only consolation.

Division Three saw Redgate lose 6-2 to Merry Monk despite goals from Jack Hamblin and Sergio da Silva Faria.

And Highbridge Town Reserves drew 2-2 with fellow strugglers Williton as Paul Cook and Nathan Smith ensured a share of the points.

In Division Four, Bridgwater Sports Colts lost 6-1 to division leaders Milverton Rangers with Andrew Skidmore scoring their only goal.

Rhode Lane Wanderers moved up from fifth to third after beating North Petherton Reserves 3-1, Sam Godfrey picking off two goals and Sam Saunders one, Ben Brewer replied for Pethy.

The bottom two sides have swapped places after Morganians lost to Porlock Reserves 2-0.

Division Five saw no change at the top as Middlezoy Athletic drew 1-1 with Creech Coogars, Sam Peppin grabbing their goal.

East Bower move up the table after beating Bridgwater Grasshoppers 5-1 with five different goal scorers namely Ollie Ham, George Turner, Jack Edwards, George Wilkinson and Jack Reed, Chris Thomas got the Grasshoppers consolation goal.

The crowd at Nether Stowey were entertained with a ten goal game the home side beating Wembdon Saints Reserves 6v4, Dave Trout hit a hat trick for Stowey, Dave Rowsell added two with Tom Davison putting away one from the penalty spot, both Brad Walford and Ash Hunt both got a pair for Saints.
