TAUNTON Town will be chasing their first Evo-Stik League away win of the season when they travel to Abingdon United tomorrow (Saturday), kick-off 3pm.

All four of Town’s league games on opposition soil so far have ended in an odd goal defeat so the Peacocks are hoping to break their duck at the Oxfordshire club who sit just below the halfway point in the table and who have won three and lost three of their six home games to date.

Taunton play another league game closer to home on Tuesday evening at Paulton Rovers (7.30pm).

Town have already played Paulton twice this season when they emerged victorious in an FA Cup tie following a replay.

Taunton Under 18s are also in action on Tuesday, taking on Brislington at Wordsworth Drive in the Somerset Floodlight Youth League (7.45pm).

The youth team will be out to gain their first win of a stop-start campaign in which they have only played four games to date.

Their most recent scheduled game, at Bitton on Monday evening, suffering yet another postponement due to a waterlogged pitch.
