HIGHBURN fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Division 1 leaders Maltshovel in the Uxella Bridgwater & District Sunday League.

Pawlett Rebels showed no mercy to bottom club New Foresters when they won 7-2 with hat-tricks from Darryl Taylor and Ryan Williams and Marcus Slade adding the other.

In Division 2, leaders Puriton were without a game but Huntspill picked up a point against North Petherton when they drew 2-2 with goals from George Weston and Simon Massingham.

Knowle lost a seven-goal thriller late on, despite strikes from Kai Martin, Pete John and Dale Curtis.
