ANYONE who would like to use the power of water to generate energy is invited to a one-day seminar run by the University of Exeter on April 30.
Organised by the British Hydropower Association, the event will provide information and inspiration on how and where to start developing a micro-hydro scheme.
"Energy costs, environmental concerns, security of supply and renewable energy targets have helped to renew interest in small-scale hydropower schemes," said BHA chief executive, David Williams.
"Hydro provides the highest pay-back ratio of all electricity generating technologies, generates no CO2 emissions and has minimal visual impact on the surrounding environment."
