PUPILS, parents, and friends of Dunster First School held their Harvest Service last Friday.
All 140 children in the school took part in the service taken by the Rev Lee Brant at St George’s Church, which featured popular songs including ‘Cauliflowers Fluffy’.
The children brought harvest gifts to the church, which were taken to Bampton Court in Minehead, while a collection at the end of the service raised £167 for charity Support Dogs: Assisting Disabled People.
Head teacher Peter Hoyland said: “It was wonderful to see so many parents, carers, grandparents, friends of the school and members of the local community at our service.
“We were delighted with the amount of food we collected for Bampton Court and the wonderful £167 we raised for charity.
“I would like to thank the children and staff for working so hard over the last few weeks to prepare everything for the service.”
