Taste of the outdoors for Buckland pupils

PUPILS from the village primary school visited Mount Fancy Farm on Staple Hill.

Nigel Spring, from the Butterfly Conservation Trust, took the youngsters on an insect hunt, helped them identify trees, build a fire, cook bacon and play in a stream.

Teacher Rachael Auton said: “They had a fantastic day outdoors – they spotted the Highland cows and wild Exmoor ponies.”
