Pet care call in Ilminster

AN urgent appeal has gone out from the national charity Cinnamon Trust which supports elderly and terminally- ill people and their much-loved pets.
Volunteers help to keep owners and pets together either by walking a dog for a housebound owner, fostering pets when the owners need hospital care and even cleaning out a bird cage.
But the Trust is need of volunteers to come forward in the Ilminster area.
The charity’s Sally Collins said: “Unfortunately, we have a shortage of volunteers in Ilminster who are able to offer some much-needed walks for a lovely West Highland Terrier.
“We are desperate for volunteers in this area, even if you can only offer an hour a week it will improve the dog’s quality of life so much and give the owner peace of mind.”
