Bridgwater's Next store to turn into coffee shop?

Bridgwater's Next store to turn into coffee shop? Bridgwater's Next store to turn into coffee shop?

THE empty Next shop in Bridgwater town centre could soon become a coffee shop.

Chain Coffee #1 has applied for planning permission to take over the building at the junction of Fore Street and George Street.

I'm surprised there's been no mention of Buyology's return to town here yet - and how this will affect the move we all though Wickes were going to take?

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Wickes and Buyology are not the same kind of store. Buyology sold lots of stuff that Wickes Don't..Toys,stationa
ry, food, sweets to name but a few. I don't really see the point to your comment.

Any jobs created for the town is good news at the moment, coffee shop or not! Saying that I suppose the post office could of moved there or what used to be the millets shop. Or is that asking for too much common sense???

Re Byology & Wickes. The rumour mill said that Wickes may be taking on the old Focus store. Then there was further speculation that M&S were looking at what would become the redundant Wickes store. Too good to be true me thinks.

Re another coffee stop, not sure, but at least the unit is being put to some use. It is the sights outside Costa at times that might look off-putting

Hence my comment - now Buyology are in the old Focus site, any potential changes elsewhere would mean Wickes moving (where to?) or closing!

As stated a few times here, the planning application for the Wickes unit was from another bargain store.

Now if they can just persuade this new coffee shop to house the post office they'll have cracked it!

What better than a cup of coffee while you wait for an hour in the queue for the post office ;-)

Byology have stated under ''Stores'' section on their website that Byology in Bridgwater is going into the Old Focus Shop that is on Wylds Road you can see that for yourselfs here: http://www.buyology.
co.uk/our-stores

but I thought The ''Rumour''{and I say ''Rumour''} was that ''Dunelm Company'' was coming in Bridgwater at some point?
