Party marks Barleymow's Farm Shop's first decade

A SUMMER party was held at the Barleymow’s Farm Shop and Restaurant on the outskirts of Chard to celebrate its tenth anniversary.

There was a craft fair, food festival, cream teas and live music from the Three Counties Swing Band.

More than 30 craftsmen and women, and around 20 food suppliers, attended the party, and the cream teas helped to raise £650 for the Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment (SURE) appeal at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.

The terrible weather this summer has hampered Barleymow’s maize maze attraction, which has not grown properly, but younger visitors were able to enjoy an activity field with games and play equipment.

Rose and Martin Burrough, of Barleymow’s, have thanked customers for their support of the firm and the event.
