OUR region's last Olympic medal hope Liam Phillips produced a solid performance in the Men's BMX seeding runs this afternoon (August 8).

Liam, 23, from Burnham, led the field with a time of 38.719s at the 6,000 capacity venue in the Olympic Park but slipped down to 12th once all the seeding was completed.

The current leader is Raymon Van der Biezel with a time of 37.779s.

The seeding runs decide the lane choice for all the riders and you can follow Liam’s progress through the quarter-final motos stage, which is an eight-man race, from 3pm tomorrow (August 9).

If successful, Phillips’ schedule will consist of semi-finals on Friday, August 10 at 3.08pm and a final at 4.40pm.

Leave your messages of good luck to Liam below.
