TAUNTON Deane MP Jeremy Browne visited North Town Primary School to find out more about what children in Year Two have been doing with their sustainability project to help the environment.

Mr Browne said: “The projects the school gets the children involved in are diverse and exciting.

“This term the projects ranged from children in Years 3 and 4 doing an Olympic project, where they had to choose a country and a Olympian to research, to children in Year 2 finding out all about sustainability and recycling.

“I enjoyed hearing about the efforts the children had gone to with their recycling topic.

“It’s a good idea to help children to learn at an early age about the benefits of recycling and how it helps the environment.

“Each year also has an Eco Warrior – a student who takes the lead in making sure things like lights are switched off after using them and that paper is in the correct recycling box for each class.

“It’s great to see such dynamic learning.”

.
*an olympian - the spelling and grammar on this website is rubbish!
.
Fantatstic to see Mr Browne taking a real interest in the area, and the children.... In case anyone missed that, that was sarcasm. Anything to make himself look good - he seems to be unavailable whenever anyone has a problem etc.
