The Countess wsa given a wonderful reception when she arrived at the hospital where she met staff and patients before unveiling a plaque.
Following her visit to South Petherton, she then went to nearby Seavington where she was again given a warm welcome by villagers as she met people at the Seavington Community Shop and Cafe.
See next week's Chard and Ilminster News - out on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning - for more photos from the Countess' visit.
