South Somerset planning applications

THE following planning applications have been received by South Somerset District Council.

• JULIE Rohaven has applied to carry out works to a Eucalyptus tree at Manor Farm in Chard.

• MR and Mrs N. Hunter have applied to build a garden room extension at the back of their home in Silver Street, Barrington, and make alterations to the fenestration.

• MRS P. North has applied to carry out works to two Beech trees at her home in Merriott Road, Hinton St George.

• MR S. Ashton has applied for a certificate of lawfulness for the existing residential use of all buildings at Bow Mill in West Chinnock.

• SALLY Coggins has applied to pollard a Eucalyptus tree at her home in Middle Street, North Perrott.

• MRS P. North has applied to carry out works to a Beech tree and an Ash tree at The Coach House in Merriott Road, Hinton St George.

• REBECCA Beggs has applied to make alterations, build a single-storey extension, first floor extension and insert a dormer window to the west elevation of her home at The Beacon in Ilminster.

• BRIAN Harding has applied to build a detached garage at Le Chalet in Hornsbury Hill, Chard.

• TINA Coles has applied to vary an existing permission granted in order to relocate an extension at Holyrood Academy in Zembard Lane, Chard, by 600mm.

• SOMERSET County Council has applied to make alterations and convert barns at Peasmarsh Dairy Farm in Peasmarsh, Ilminster, into three homes, and build three detached double garages and convert four other barns.

• MR B. Snee has applied to make internal alterations, including alterations to the main staircase, remove secondary stairs and reinstate first floor and associated panelling, insert new fireplace and alter main kitchen at Oxenford House in Oxenford Lane, Dowlish Wake.

• MR and Mrs Chris Medland have applied to build a first-floor extension at their home in Crewkerne Road, Chard.

• MR M. Callow has applied to build a carport at his home in Foxglove Way, Chard. This is a retrospective planning application – the work has already been carried out.

• SOMERSET County Council has applied for the change of use of land at Peasmarsh Dairy Farm in Peasmarsh, Ilminster, to a garden and to build a detached garage.

• THE A.H. Warren Trust Ltd has applied to build a two-storey and a single-storey extension at Brook House in Main Street, Dowlish Wake.

• PEARCE Properties Ltd has applied to convert redundant farm buildings into two homes and garaging at Sheephouse Farm in Sheephouse Farm Lane, Chillington, Ilminster.

• MR and Mrs N.A. and E.A. Clark have applied to make alterations to convert a roof space in existing garages to create ancillary accommodation at St Andrews Cottage in Manor House, Main Street, Dowlish Wake.

• JANET Mains has applied to carry out alterations including the conversion of a garage into ancillary accommodation and the construction of a conservatory at Four Walls Cottage in Crimchard, Chard.

• MIKE Webster has applied to build a salt storage barn on land south of Southfields Roundabout in Horton.

• MR and Mrs Andrews Warren have applied for the change of use of an outbuilding at Beetham Farm in Higher Beetham, Whitestaunton, into a home office and to build an extension onto a barn and convert it for ancillary accommodation.

• BOLDRE Estates has applied for the change of use of four units at The Barley Yard, Crewkerne, from office use to four residential flats.

• IAN Norris has applied to build a detached home on land at Belle Vue in Silver Street, Misterton.

• E-TRICITY Ltd has applied to install a solar photovoltaic array and associated equipment with a maximum array height of 2.6m at Manor Farm in Lower Street, Merriott.

• CHRISTOPHER Underhill has applied to make internal and external alterations at Stable Cottage in Eggwood Hill, Merriott.

• SOUTH Somerset District Council has made decisions on the following planning applications.

• CLAIRE Heller has been given permission to carry out works to a number of trees at her home in High Street, Hinton St George.

• DIANA Atkinson has been given permission to build a sun room at her home in Ashcombe Court, Ashcombe Lane, Ilminster.

• MICHAEL Hollard has been given permission for a swimming pool and a swimming pool cover at Two Hoots in Mill Lane, Dowlish Wake. The swimming pool construction part of the planning application was retrospective – the work had already been carried out.

• AN application to build one home with associated access and parking on land adjoining Upper Springs in Loveridge Lane, Tatworth, has been refused permission.

• MRS Pease has been given the go-ahead to install a ground-mounted photovoltaic array on land at Folly Farm in Folly Drove, Ashill.

• PAUL Hounsham has been given permission to build decking at the back of his home in Moor Lane, Chillington, Ilminster.

• AN application submitted by Chris Adams for a certificate of lawfulness for a proposed extension to create a garage/workshop at his Willow Cottage home in Trotts Lane, Horton, has been withdrawn.

• HAVEN Health Properties Ltd has been given permission for the change of use of the West One Crewkerne Youth Community Centre in West Street, Crewkerne, into a medical centre.

• MR and Mrs Chris Downing have been given permission to make alterations and build a two-storey side and front extension to their home at Chapel Cottage in Windmill Hill, Ashill.

• PETE Inglesent has been given permission for the change of use of a log cabin from residential to use as a teaching studio for traditional upholstery courses.

• MR and Mrs David Tucker have been given permission to build a single-storey extension to provide disabled accommodation at Springfield House in Owl Street, Stocklinch.

• SOUTH Petherton Parish Council has been given permission to build a single-storey extension to a scout hut at the Recreation Ground in Lightgate Lane, South Petherton.
