Taunton School student Alex Keeling was busy over his summer holiday helping wounded Royal Marines row the Thames.
Alex assisted a crew of recovering wounded members from 40 Commando to row the length of the Thames from Lechlade, Gloucestershire, to Greenwich over five days.
During the Thames Challenge, the crew met Matt Smith – who plays Dr Who - and were applauded by MPs on the terrace at the Palace of Westminster.
Tower Bridge was even raised in salute as they passed underneath.
Nearly £10,000 was raised for Royal Marines charities.
Alex also rowed across the Channel in April with fellow Taunton School pupils Nick Evry and Christian Hosie.
