CAPTAIN Hook, alias actor Greg Patmore, is looking forward to once again locking horns with his old enemy, Peter Pan, in the pantomime at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil – which starts next weekend.

We caught up with the dastardly captain and asked him some questions about the pantomime and what he thinks about Yeovil.

Q: What is your favourite part about being in Yeovil’s pantomime?

A: Getting to spend some time in Yeovil - I'm staying at the beautiful Mason's Arms in Odcombe and it is a little bit of paradise for a pirate captain fond of a little real ale brewed on the premises. Heartily recommended!

Q: How are you planning on spending your free time this Christmas?

A: Free time? What free time! But what there is, see above! Me and me hearties will be enjoying the grog and the grub!

Q: Is this your first time in Somerset, what do you think of the area?

A: I have been many times and absolutely love it here. It's beautiful, friendly and fun.

Q: What do you love about the story of Peter Pan?

A: I'm Captain Hook! There's not much to love, actually. The dratted little urchin always wins and I always end up as Crocodile lunch!

Q: If you where describing a panto to someone who has never been before how would you describe it?

A: The most fun you can possibly have in a theatre without getting thrown out. Oh yes it is!

Q: What makes a good Christmas?

A: Family, friends, fine food, a warm fire and DR Who special.

Q: Who are you looking forward to working with this panto?

A: Everyone. We have a brilliant cast and backstage team and the Octagon is a particularly warm and welcoming theatre.

Q: What was the first pantomime you ever saw?

A: I really can't remember the first, but it would have been at Wigan Little Theatre many years ago...before I went to sea and became a pirate.

The panto runs at the Octagon from December 11 through to January 2.

Tickets are priced £16 for adults, £14.50 for children, £13 for Footlights members, and £12 for parties of ten or more.
