THE future of the library service in South Petherton was discussed again at a parish council meeting this week.
No further announcements on changes to the village’s library were made on Monday, but there are fears that the economic cutbacks could result in a loss of the current service.
Councillors are to back a campaign to keep the library in the village and will be doing their bit to promote the library in the months ahead.
A final decision is to be made on libraries in Somerset at a full county council meeting on February 16.
