BOOK lovers in Chard are looking forward to a new chapter at Hooked on Books in Holyrood Street as the shop prepares to re-open next Friday.
Winsham couple Paul and Yvette Kelly have been busy restocking the shelves with carefully selected new, second hand and rare titles for bookworms in the area.
Yvette, who also owns Millfield Café in Chard, said: “About a year ago we started dealing in second-hand and rare books and it just took off from there.
“I used to own a bookshop until about 11 years ago and with our huge collection of antique and rare books there’s quite a choice.
“We’ll also be able to order most books in within 24 to 48 hours and can also search for out of print books for people.
“There will be a delivery service for elderly or disabled people if they have trouble getting into town.
“We’ve got lots of books for children and young people based on pupils surveys at the local schools, but you’ve got to cater for everyone and I’m hoping we have.”
The second edition of Hooked on Books begins on Friday, October 16.
