Youngsters step to it for wildlife centre

A GROUP of schoolchildren from Williton put their best foot forward to raise cash for a wildlife rescue centre.

Year 5 pupils from Danesfield Middle School were sponsored by family and friends to walk around Clatworthy Reservoir in aid of Secret World at West Huntspill and raised £240.88.

A cheque was presented to Dave Pulley of Secret World, who visited the school accompanied by Ben, a Bengali eagle owl resident at the centre.

The visit gave youngsters the chance to find out about Secret World’s important role in caring for injured and orphaned wild creatures.
