CLAIMS that criminals are posing as perfume sellers to rob customers in a store car park in Taunton have been dismissed as “an urban myth” by police.

Mobile phone messages are going around suggesting people are being invited to sniff the ‘perfume’, which is actually ether.

On smelling it, the false rumour says the customer collapses and is robbed.
