PUPILS at Redstart School in Chard could teach Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall a thing or two about eco-friendly cooking after building their very own clay oven.
Youngsters from Redstart’s Forest School constructed a bread oven out of cob with the help of Axminster-based building specialist David Joyce.
Teacher Jackie Darch said the oven was part of on ongoing project to encourage the children to look after the environment.
She added that she hoped construction would be finished in time for the school’s Viking day before the end of term.
