Taunton International School's Ying in top 50 maths spot

TAUNTON School International student Ying Zhinsheng, 16, from China, finished in the top 50 out of 200,000 in the UK Intermediate Mathematical Challenge.

He has been invited to compete with 1,450 students in the next round.

Taunton School International entered 16 students in the challenge – they scooped four gold certificates, six silvers and five bronzes.

Ying was presented with his medal during a school assembly and also the headmaster’s assembly.
