A MOTHER has told of her fear that she is being watched following a series of thefts of items from her front garden.
Among the haul of stolen goods worth well over £1,000 are a caravan, two bikes, a window from a van and the springs from a trampoline.
Laura Parsons said she had only bought the latest item to disappear – a £30 second-hand bike – on Saturday, the day before it was stolen.
Miss Parsons had bought the bike for her daughter, Cleo, aged eight, after her brand new £150 bicycle was stolen from the garden of their home on Priorswood Road, Taunton, last month.
“I’m at my wits’ end – I’m just livid,” said Miss Parsons.
“Our caravan, which was worth £1,000, was stolen earlier this year the day we got back from holiday – it was actually still hitched up to out car and had our stuff inside still.
“Another time they took a window from a van parked outside the house and then they took the springs from the children’s trampoline.”
She has put up a sign outside her house listing what has been stolen from the front garden.
“There aren’t many neighbours here, so I suppose I’m a prime target,” said Miss Parsons, who also has a son, Hagen, aged ten.
“I feel like I’m being watched continuously and that anything in my garden could go missing at any time – nothing’s safe.”
