Donation for school's Future Now appeal

SOMERSET county councillor David Huxtable visited Wedmore First School on Monday (October 6) to present a cheque for £5,000 from his local initiatives budget to acting head teacher Sue Ham and a party of pupils.
The money will go towards the £60,000 Future Now appeal, which aims to complete urgent repairs at the school and renovate some of its main buildings.
Mr Huxtable was also shown around the school and saw for himself details of the proposed building and refurbishment work at the school.
