A NEW children's menu at Musgrove Park Hospital, in Taunton, will offer more choice - and provide options for weaning children and for those with allergies.
There is also a made-to-order section for freshly-prepared meals, while parents will be provided with a meal to eat with their children.
Heidi Seabert, a paediatric dietician at Musgrove, said: "We know how important food and nutrition is for children, especially those who are unwell.
"This new menu creates greater choice and provides more incentives for children to have a good, fresh meal."
Catering manager Phil Shelley said: "Our aim at Musgrove is to provide healthy, nourishing food that aids the recovery process.
"It can be difficult to get kids to eat and so we wanted to do something special to help them."
