STUNNING new drone photographs show new £1.2 million roofs which have been built at The King Alfred School (TKASA).
The new weatherproof roofs at the school in Marine Drive, Highbridge, were completed earlier this month and funded by a £1.2 million grant from the National Condition Improvement Fund, which was made available after The King Alfred School became an academy.
New skylights and windows have also been installed at the school and the next phase of the work will involve the replacement of sections of roof in the school’s A block, including the sports hall and 1610 building.
Nathan Jenkins, principal of TKASA, said: “These photos capture the modern, professional facilities that we are building here at TKASA.
“It has been a brilliant year so far and we are continuing to see excellent improvements in all aspects of the school.”
Attention will now turn to the interior areas of the school as the roofing work is complete.
