A MAN has been attacked with a hammer after an incident on A303.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 46-year-old man was assaulted with a hammer on the northbound A303 near Cartgate services.
A force spokesman said the victim was driving on the A303 northbound at around 5pm on April 7 when he was forced to stop by another vehicle.
"A man got out of the vehicle and the victim was struck with a hammer, resulting in him suffering minor bruising," the spokesman added.
"We’re appealing for anyone who saw this incident to come forward.
"A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue."
