A society spokesman said: “We are very proud to have received so many awards for our 2018 productions and we move forward with confidence to our 2019 production of Sister Act.”

Bridgwater Operatic Society are performing their production of Sister Act from April 30 until May 4.

Based on the film starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith, Sister Act is the zany, joyful musical comedy in which two very different worlds collide.

When nightclub diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime, the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look – a convent.

Renamed ‘Sister Mary Clarence’, Deloris faces the fearsome Mother Superior – and the excruciating nuns’ choir. But she inspires her fellow sisters to find their voices.

With fantastic original songs by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Enchanted) Sister Act is reason to Rejoice.

Premium seats are running out fast for this exciting Bridgwater Operatic Society production.

There’s more choice on April 30 and the matinee on May 4 but for other performances the tickets have flown off the shelf.

Tickets cost £17. For more information or to book please visit www.bridgwateros.co.uk or call 01278 662181.
