A303 closed following serious multi-vehicle crash
FIVE people have been taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash between South Petherton and Ilminster.
The multi-vehicle crash happened between Hayes End and Horton Cross on the A303.
There was also slow traffic on the opposite side of the A303 eastbound before Hayes End.
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service, said: "We were called at 5.10pm to reports of a road traffic collision, reportedly involving three vehicles.
"We attended with two ambulances, an operations officer and a rapid response vehicle.
"Five patients were taken to hospital for further treatment."
