PUPILS from the Nicky Jenks School of Dance took part in Highbridge festival of the Arts last week.
The students from 7-16 years old, competed against other dance schools from across the South West.
They were successful in all categories - classical ballet, modern, tap, Classical Greek, song and dance and Hip Hop, as individuals, duets, trios and groups.
The students all worked incredibly hard, and the teacher’s choreography was praised throughout the festival.
Special mention should go to Charlotte Whyborn 15, who was the youngest competitor in her category (15-18 years) and placed in every section she entered. Overall, there were 13 first, nine second and 16 third place results.
The Nicky Jenks School of Dance was established in 1991 and offers a range of classes for all ages abilities.
Highbridge Festival of the Arts is a 13 day event held from March 4 until March 16, which showcases local dancers, speech and drama students and more.
