STUDENTS from The King Alfred School raised £3,500 for Love Musgrove and Weston Hospicecare during their RAG Week.

The school’s annual event saw saw sixth formers dress up in an array of outlandish fancy dress and stage various events and activities to collect money for the two charities.

Teachers and students got involved in a range of activities including soak the teacher, The Chase, a sixth form vs teachers football match and a Bush Tucker Trial.

Dan Anderson, sixth form student and head boy said the week -long fundraising event was a big success.

He said: “The team organising RAG week this year have worked extremely hard to make the most successful fundraising week we’ve ever had.

“Everyone is so passionate about our chosen charities.”
