THANKS: Joyce Beard with members of Burnham and Higbridge Gateway Club
MEMBERS of Burnham and Highbridge Gateway Club presented their longest serving volunteer, Joyce Beard, with gifts to wish her a happy birthday and thank her for 40 years of support.
Mrs Beard has been a helper at the club since it opened in 1979 and has continued to help and support them over the years.
At a special celebration event at the club on January 31, members of the club presented Joyce with a bunch of flowers for her 90th birthday and thanked her for her ongoing support.
A spokesman for the club, said: " She is a very valued part of club. Joyce has been an active member of the community for many years, including serving on the Burnham and Highbridge Town Council."
