MAUNSEL Lock is now home to its very own defibrillator thanks to the hard work of volunteers and generous donations from local organisations.
The potentially life-saving equipment has been installed in a special locked cabinet at the Tea Shop.
This is the area's second Public Access AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) after one was installed at North Newton Village Hall in 2017.
After raising the majority of the funding for the new AED through public donations, notably from Taunton Running Club, a generous donation from North Petherton Town Council meant the latest addition could be purchased and installed.
A spokesman for the North Newton Defibrillator Community Group said the group hoped the equipment would never have to be used, but could very well save a life.
